Best Of 2013

best 2013

Happy new year! I could not be any more thankful for all the support I received in 2013 from all of you. A special thank you to all of those that participated in the conversations here and on social media. Thank you for taking time to leave your tips, suggestions, and requests. I do not take any of this for granted and truly appreciate all of you. I have picked my most loved products of the year, so enjoy the post and best wishes!

Kjaer Weis Makeup. I had a huge crush on KW makeup during 2013 and I have used and loved every single product that I tried from this line. I think that the Kjaer Weis Mascara is the most revolutionary makeup product that I have tried this year. The formula is just un-beatable. I used it throughout the entire Summer and despite the hot & humid South Carolina temperatures I did not experience a single sign of smudging, which is incredible for a non-waterproof formula. I also loved the gorgeous cream blushes, the beautiful lip tints, and the eyeshadows. Looking forward to reviewing the newly launched foundation!

Ilia Beauty Lipsticks. I still love and use the Ilia Tinted Lip Conditioners and Lipstick Crayons, but the lipsticks are my favorites. I have purchased a few more shades and I just love the texture of them. Femme Fatale and Ink Pot are definitely my favorites.

Afterglow Cosmetics Eye Shadows/Mineral Foundation. I have used the Afterglow Mineral Foundation more than any other one and the new pressed eyeshadows were also some of my most loved in 2013. Great shades, (especially Impasto and Stencil), blendable textures, different finishes, and lovely, non-offensive ingredients.

Vapour Beauty Spark Cream Blush. My all-time favorite peachy-pink blush and my go-to in Spring and Summer. In case you are new to green beauty, this is a great alternative to your old Stila Gerbera and it is packed with natural ingredients. A little dated, but I have a review here so you can see the swatches.

RMS Beauty Un-powder. I have combination skin that is quite oily on my forehead, so from March to October the un-powder is my best friend. Read more here.

MVO Face Oil. The MVO Face Oil is still my favorite one. It helped me to heal from the nastiest breakout I have ever experienced in my life. My forehead was covered in tiny pimples that looked like a rash for at least a few months. In a few days my skin looked clear, supple, radiant, and it stayed completely free of blemishes for the entire time of use. I featured it in my Summer Skincare Routine.

MV Skincare Rose Soothing and Protective Moisturiser. MV Skincare, (not the same as MVO, which stands for Marie Veronique Organics), has the most wonderful moisturiser for sensitive skin called, Soothing & Protective Moisturizer. this also makes a great base for makeup. Review here.

Aurelia Miracle Cleanser. I loved this cleanser ’til the last scoop and I will definitely purchase a new jar as soon as I need a new cleanser, (I have quite a few lined up right now). I love the fluffy texture of it and the scent of it is absolutely intoxicating. And of course, it cleanses the skin wonderfully leaving a nice glow behind. Read more about it here.

Pai Skincare Eye Cream. I like several Pai Skincare products, but the eye cream is still my #1. I have repurchased it already a few times, and I see myself sticking to it in 2014 as well. My first thoughts about it here.

Kahina Argan Oil. I was a little late with trying Kahina, but I finally tried a few of their products and the Argan Oil has already become a staple. In fact, it is the one product I am using the most at this moment. Love it.

ED4OLO Cleansing Oil. If you wear makeup, you need this cleansing oil too. Breaks down makeup like nothing else  and leaves no greasy film behind. Revolutionary, effective, and a must-have. I have already re-purchased and my second bottle is on its way. Review here.

Skincare TAG Genuine Glow

Osmia Organics Body Care.  To those that say going green means going smelly. Osmia’s perfumes and deodorant are the best smelling products out there. A single drop of Osmia’s serums or perfumes can transform a room into a flower garden.

Lina Hanson Global Body Serum. A luxe treat for the body, this serum smells so good I wish I could shower in it. I use it After a warm shower and apply a few drops onto my wet skin. This leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. Read more here.

Rahua Voluminous Shampoo. Having very straight and flat hair, I have really enjoyed using this shampoo. I find that it is the only one that truly gives a little extra body to my hair and it is made with organic ingredients. It is quite expensive, but it’s worth the money! Review.

S.W. Basics Lip Balm Flights. They have only a few basic ingredients, yet they are some of the creamiest, most conditioning lip balms I have tried. Cocoa and Citrus are my favorites. Review here.

La Bella Figura Bio Active Healing Mask. A great mask to pull the impurities from the skin without drying it out. It also smells absolutely delicious!

Mun Aknari No 1 Dream Youth Serum. Dulcis in fundo, this is one of the most precious face serums I got to try this year, and it is like a concentrate of youth in a bottle. Read my review to learn more about it.

Pheeeew! Good job if you made it to the end!

Sincerely wishing you the best. Make sure to eat your fresh veggies & good fats, and put your face oil on to have the best skin you have ever had!
