Odacite Gentle Rejuvenating Cleanser

Odacité Gentle Rejuvenating Cleanser Review

In the Dr. Alkaitis Organic Soothing Gel review that I posted last week I mentioned a stellar combination of skincare products that has been working very, very well for me. So well that I am a bit scared about changing any part of it and I may keep it up for some time because trying new products is fun, but good skin is waaay better. One of the products included in my current routine is the Odacité Gentle Rejuvenating Cleanser*, which I have been using every day for a little over a month, both in the morning and in the evening (for a second cleanse).

The texture is that of a cleansing milk/cleansing lotion, which had become a bit unfamiliar after using solely cleansing oils and creams for quite a while. The lightweight consistency makes it easy to spread evenly and massage, so it requires very little effort. I always try to remember to spritz my face with Maya Water before applying the cleanser so that I have more moisture to work the product into the skin, give myself a quick massage, and lift all of the impurities. It has virtually no scent at all.

The name is right on spot, because this cleanser is truly gentle. It makes my skin feel well cleansed, but never stripped and dry. However, I always make sure to properly remove any trace of it from the skin with a face cloth to prevent any residue to clog my pores. It is not the type of cleanser that I would recommend just slapping all over your face and rinse off. I take my time to gently wipe it off using a Yoshii towel. The cleanser comes with 4 facial sponges that can be used to massage the skin and remove the product as well. I have not tried the sponges, but I will with my next bottle. I am curious to see how they work even though I love the convenience of using a face towel that I can just throw in the washing machine after use.

As with all Odacité products, the cleanser is made with fresh, raw ingredients. The company puts extra effort into providing the most fresh, organic and wild-crafted ingredients. Therefore they created a Freshiency™ label that is put on each product that tells you the date that your product was bottled on, and how long it will stay fresh. That is an amazing feature because the  natural ingredients decrease in efficacy overtime. I have sampled some products in the past that had gone rancid by the time that I opened them, so I do appreciate the Freshiency™ very much.

Ingredients list: Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis) (Organic), Sunflower Seed (Helianthus annuus) Oil (Organic), Rose (Rosa damascena), Floral Water (Organic), Vegetable Glycerin, Wheat Germ (Triticum vulgare) Oil, Leuconostoc – radish root ferment filtrate, Non GMO Soy Lecithin, Oat beta glucan, Sucrose cocoate, Lauryl Glucoside, Tamanu (Calophyllum inophyllum) Oil, Coco-glucoside, Coconut Alcohol, Sclerotium Gum Powder, Linden (Tilia cordata) Flower Extract (Organic), Ginseng (Panax ginseng) Root Extract (Organic), Elder Flower (ambucus nigra ) Extract (Organic), Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) extract (Organic), Xanthan Gum (Polysaccharide), P-Anisic Acid

The cleanser features Tamanu Oil, (also called beauty leaf oil), which is known to be healing to damaged skin with its anti-inflammatory properties. Coco Glucoside offers a very gentle cleansing action and removes impurities without leaving the skin un-balanced. It is recommended to sensitive, mature, dry, normal, and combination skin; but I am sure that it would work for more oily skin types as well. I have combination skin and it leaves my T-Zone perfectly balanced with no greasiness.

It’s a very basic, simple cleanser that works exceedingly well for morning cleanse and for second cleanse in the evening. I still prefer to use my One Love Organics Cleansing Oil for makeup removal, at least when I am wearing a full face of makeup. It has been part of the stellar routine that has kept my skin healthy for the past month, so I am going to finish my first gifted bottle and order more. If it pleases my overly-demanding skin there are good chances that it is going to please other skin types (hopefully yours!) too, so I recommend giving it a try if you are looking for a good, plain cleanser that also comes at a very good value.

If you are interested in trying it but do not feel like committing to a full-size, Odacité offers some pretty awesome discovery kits that come with 6 to 7 trial-size products (perfect for traveling) and retail for $29, so you get to try the whole line (cleanser, toner, moisturizer, exfoliant, mask, eye cream and a serum). Every discovery kit contains products that address your specific skin concerns (dry/mature, normal, combination/oily are the three types available).

You can find the entire Odacité Skincare Line at The Detox Market.
