Dear March, February was so mean and cold that I could not wait to meet you again! Here are my beauty favorites from the past month…
YULI Skincare Liquid Courage Face Serum. I cannot rave enough about this serum. It helps with almost everything: moisture, brightness, healing, glow, repairing–you name it. Also, I love the fact that my skin absorbs over 20 amazing active ingredients from this serum, and that I can use it both day and night without being concerned about photo-sensitizing ingredients aggravating my dark spots. I recently started my third bottle. You can read my full review here.
Nudus Lipstick in 27 Kisses*. My perfect MLBB (my lips but better) lip color. Chances are that if you meet me one of these days, you’ll see me wearing this lip color, especially in the daytime. I cannot rave enough about the formula, pigmentation, and longevity; it has become my go-to. Read my review with photos/swatches here. (Btw, it’s back in stock! You can find it here.)
Kjaer Weis Lip Tint in Rapture*. I don’t play much with colored eyeshadows, but on brave days I wear fun lip colors. Kjaer Weis Lip Tint in Rapture is the most gorgeous, warm, fuschia color and makes my lips look healthy and juicy without the sticky feel of a lip gloss. Full review here.
Lina Hanson Satori Perfume Oil* Ever since I received a sample of this perfume I have been sniffing myself constantly! It has the right amount of sweet, citrus, and warmth that make it intense, but not overbearing. I call it exotic princess in a bottle. And of course, no questionable synthetic ingredients, but sustainably-sourced plant oils. Read my full review here.
Metta Body Butter with Lavender*. Excellent body moisturizer that smells amazing, (like cocoa butter and lavender mixed together). It keeps the skin soft, but it is non-greasy, and comes in such a big glass that I think it’s going to last me for months, even with daily use. You can find it here.
Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Desired Glow. This has been one of my favorite cream blushes for a very long time, but last month I loved it more than usual because it gave my February-pale skin a warm, honey bronze glow. It has great pigmentation and blends beautifully. I just dab a little product on my upper cheeks using my finger, right after applying foundation, and it looks so effortless compared to brighter colored blushes. You can check it out here.
Laurel Organics Healing Balm*. Recently the temperatures on the East Coast were very low (and New York looked like a postcard from the movie Frozen). My hand got so dry and chapped and nothing–no oil, balm, or hand lotion I owned was making a significant difference. Finally, I resolved to apply some healing balm and keep it overnight, and in the morning all of the tiny, painful cuts were gone. I shall never, ever be without this mighty balm. Find it here.
Pukka Elderberry & Echinacea Tea. This month I discovered a new Pukka Tea flavor that I had not tried yet, Elderberry & Echinacea with Elderflower, which is not only delicious (it has a warm, berry taste), but also beneficial to the body. It has quickly become our favorite tea flavor. I think that it may have also played a part in helping me to get over a nasty sore throat I had about a week ago. Elderberry is known to provide a good boost for the immune system, and echinacea tea has also shown to help the body to get over respiratory illness faster. Just thinking about it makes me want to have a cup of it right now…
I hope you had a lovely month. Here’s to a warm March and a great start of Spring!
