YÜLI Liquid Courage

YULI Liquid Courage Antioxidant Serum with copyright

Back to skincare talk! This post is long overdue, and I think that most of you already know my feelings about this product because I have been talking about it so much. I have been using the YÜLI Skincare Liquid Courage Antioxidant Serum for a few months and I just finished bottle #2, so I have definitely had enough time to test it out and find out if it was of any benefit to my skin.

Here are a few of the things that I have noticed with consistent use of this serum. First, it does not clog my pores, even if I apply extra product. My forehead tends to get congested with tiny head-less spots, but while using this serum, I have never experienced congested skin at all. It does not contain any comedogenic ingredients; it is light and easily absorbed into the skin. Second, it helps to heal my occasional blemishes. I would typically avoid applying any oil serum on a whitehead or on a full-blown pimple, but whenever I had a blemish and I applied this serum all over my face before going to bed, the following morning the inflammation had gone down and the blemish had healed partially or completely. Thirdly, while it is not particularly rich in texture, it makes my skin look plump and radiant.

I am not being extra generous in compliments, this serum really works that good for my skin. It contains several brilliant ingredients so I cannot even try to guess which ones help my skin in such a significant way. When using this serum I would describe my skin as balanced, radiant, and healthy and I have never experienced breakouts while using it.

With over 20 key active ingredients, the Liquid Courage is full of topical “nutrients” that absorb easily into the skin (no slippery, greasy face with this). Here are a few facts about the key active ingredients:

Ferulic Acid. A powerful antioxidant derived from Acai berry and Argan. According to research, this organic compound provides protection against environmental stressors (including UV rays), and helps the formula to maintain its photo-stability when exposed to the sun.

Black Garlic Bioferment. By fermenting garlic the antioxidant properties of garlic increase potency by six times and it also provides healthy enzymes that help the skin to balance its pH. Balanced skin=clear skin. And no, it does not smell like garlic at all. It acutally has a delicate Neroli scent to it.

Botanical Antioxidant Seed Complex. This seed complex is a mix of polyphenols, EGCG, resveratrol, vitamin C and E, minerals, proteins, and fatty acids that protect, strengthen, and repair the skin.

Naturally occurring COQ10 helps to maintain skin elasticity by stimulating collagen and elastin production.

If I had to narrow down my skincare stash (what a nightmare that would be!) and could only use one serum, this would be it. That’s because it works and because it is one of the few that can be used both AM and PM without causing photosensitivity like serums that contain rosehip oil or citrus oil. It is one of the most expensive products that I have tried, yet I have never questioned whether I should repurchase it or not. Also, I emptied my first bottle quickly by using 5 drops with every application, but recently I have been using as little as 2 drops of serum, gently pressed into moist skin (Yuli Cocoon Elixir or MUN Rose Toner) and I have been equally pleased with the results. I consider it a worth investment, especially when compared to other equally expensive serums that do not contain even half of the key actives that are in this one. If you have combination, oily, or problematic skin, I would skip on the other YULI serums, which I think are more appropriate for dry skin, and I would opt for this one.

I doubt that you will be disappointed, unless of course you are sensitive toward any of the ingredients. Sounds so corny, but this really is my Liquid Courage in a bottle, skincare-wise. The Liquid Courage is available at YÜLI Skincare.
