The launch of MUN No.11 Anarose Rejuvenating Rose Toner* was a much awaited one for me. You guys know I love toners in general, and I had the chance to get a little test-drive of this one at A Night for Green Beauty in LA so I could not wait for the official release. What stood out to me initially about this toner is how soft the skin feels upon application and the beautiful, yet delicate scent of it.
No.11 Anarose Rejuvenating Rose Toner* has a rose water base that is made with hand-harversted rose blossoms from Bulgaria. In line with the other MUN Beauty hero, the N0. 1 Aknari Brightening Youth Serum, the toner also contains Prickly Pear Stem Extract, which provides essential amino acids, flavones, and antioxidants to rejuvenate the skin. This is the full list of ingredients:
De-ionized Water, Rose Hydrosol* (Rose Water), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice*, Maltodextrin, Opuntia Ficus-Indica (Prickly Pear) Stem Extract, Lycium Barbarum Fruit (Goji Berry) Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract*, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower Extract, Bellis Perennis (Daisy) Flower Extract, Xanthan Gum, Vegetable Glycerin, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol. (*CERTIFIED ORGANIC) 100% Natural. 92.5% organically derived. Vegan
I had a very pleasant experience with this formula and I found it particularly satisfying a few weeks ago when my skin got dry and a bit flakey, as I began to try a serum that contains natural retinols (YULI Modern Alchemist). I find it to be an effective hydrating toner that makes the skin feels soft and supple (ingredients like aloe vera juice, hyaluronic acid and glycerin are great to bind moisture to the skin). I also enjoyed the application itself, as this product does not come with a misting nozzle, but has to be poured onto a cotton round an then patted on the skin. It has a lovely old school feel to it and it wipes off any product residue left on the skin after cleansing. However, I feel like I should have been more careful dosing the product as I ran out of it quickly (in less than two months of use). UPDATE: The product packaging has changed and this toner come with a spritzing nozzle that comes out as a fine mist. Every bottle I have used ever since has been lasting much longer (3-4 months). I have repurchased it a few times, and I have discovered that it is even more beneficial to my skin than I previously thought.
Bottom line is that I will definitely purchase this toner and rotate it with the Cocoon Facial Elixir. Cocoon is great to calm my skin when it’s irritated and N0. 11 Anarose is excellent for hydrating it. It belongs on my toner podium together with the YULI facial elixirs. I also think that the price point is very good, considering that other high quality rose waters retail for a similar price (Tammy Fender, MV Skincare), but do not contain all of the additional water binding and regenerating ingredients that this toner contains. If you are on the market for a toner, this is a great one to try now that it’s particularly cold and dry (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) and we all need a little extra help to keep some moisture in our skin. If you use MUN N0. 1 Aknari Serum, this toner will make the perfect base for it.
