The July favorites list would have been way too long (and difficult to fit in a photo) had I not omitted my favorite skincare products of the month, (not much has changed since last month anyway: Aurelia Miracle Cleanser, Marie Veronique Organics Mist+Oil, Pai Eye Cream..). With that said, here are my beauty bests for July:
Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Desired Glow* – This is the newest addition to my makeup collection and it is already a favorite of mine. I mentioned this blush in my recent post about my favorite bronzers and I have been using it daily. You just cannot go wrong with a dewy, subtle tan look during Summer and this is the perfect blush to achieve that look.
Kjaer Weis Mascara – I have already raved about this mascara many times and the more I use it, the more I like it. I am also getting more comfortable with the brush and I think that I have learned to get the best use out of it. I find that curling, applying one coat of mascara, and (after it dries) giving a gentle extra squeeze with the curler makes the lashes look defined and stay curled all day. You can read my full review here.
RMS Un-powder – Not sure how I would have made it through this Summer had I not purchased this powder. I would have been frustrated with my skin looking oily for sure! Don’t get me wrong, I love radiant skin, but you can definitely tell the difference between dewy and shiny and thanks to this powder I no longer have trouble keeping the excess oil under control.
Osmia Organics Deodorant* – This creamy deodorant is so gentle and effective. It works really great at preventing bad smells and it has a subtle clean, lavender scent (that I love! Osmia makes the best smelling products!) I apply it even right after shaving and this is the first deodorant I have tried that does not irritate my skin at all. It has become staple in my Summer beauty bag.
Sheswai Nail Lacquer in For Real – I already wrote about this nail polish and you can read about it here. This is the most interesting pale shade of nail polish that I have seen. It is a beige color that has some pink in it. The formula is outstanding and every time that I have done my nails this month I have instinctively picked this bottle . Pictures do not do it justice: this is an incredibly beautiful, modern shade.
Afterglow Mineral Foundation in Tan* – I do not use foundation every day, but when I want to even out my skin tone and do not feel like layering sticky products on my face (it is still so warm and humid here!), I reach for this one. I like that it does not make the skin look dry like many other powder foundations and it contains Mica, so it gives that slightly luminous finish that is perfect for Summer. It also has an SPF of 20, so it is a great option for light, daytime coverage.
Coola Sunscreen* – I like this sunscreen so much and the fact that it has a matte finish makes it even better. Also, it glides on my face so smoothly compared to other sunscreens (physical sunscreens can be quite painful to apply, can’t they?). Therefore, even though this one contains dimethicone, which I would rather go without, I have not found any other product that works so well for me during Summer and I only use it maybe a few days every week. This is definitely one product that I would call a guilty pleasure.
