I hope you had a lovely week! As for me, I am still on a no-makeup order from the Ophthalmologist, at least until my eye has fully recovered. I am also still recovering from the rash. I don’t have any redness anymore, but my skin is not completely well yet, and it has gotten dry and flakey. Whoa! I have dry skin and I can hardly believe it. Not a hint of oiliness. So… no makeup & no skincare experiments; I am left with tea-tasting and pumpkin pie-baking (feel free to share some pumpkin pie tips because I am new to this thing).
Empties. This week I scooped my last of the YULI Pure Face Mask, and you can bet it will be promptly repurchased. It is such an overachieving mask: purifying, exfoliating (no scrubbing involved), regenerating, and healing. The last time that I used it, I mixed it with some Wedderspoon Manuka Honey 16+*; it was the most delightful face mask combo ever. When I took it off, my skin felt as soft as a baby’s bum. The manuka honey made the mask consistency softer and prevented my skin from getting dry. Awesome combination for a little pampering or for a zit-emergency.
New Makeup. The no-makeup ordain from the doctor only means that I cannot wear makeup, but I can still buy it! I have purchased the newly launched ILIA Concealer in the shade “Dandelion”. I haven’t received it yet, but it should get here soon and I cannot wait to give it a whirl. Have you guys tried yet? I also got the new Kjaer Weis Blush Brush, which looks like a good brush, but I haven’t had the chance to try yet either. If you are interested in this brush please keep in mind is that it is smaller than it looks in the photos. It looks like a travel size brush. A good one, but quite small. Absolutely perfect to save space during a trip.
New Cleanser. I have been using the Josh Rosebrook Moisturizing Cleanser*, and I am very pleased so far. It has a runny consistency that allows for a good massage and it rinses off easily without leaving residues (one of the most important things for me in a cleanser). I also like how I need the tiniest amount to cleanse my whole face. I will give you more details as I continue to use it.
YULI. Oh, Yuli. YULI skincare is once again available for pre-order at Spirit Beauty Lounge. It quickly sold out last week, but you can pre-order now (except for the Liquid Courage, which sold out right away). I just received my order with Cocoon, Harmony Body Oil (can’t wait to try that one! I know that Spirit is a big fan of it), and more Halcyon Cleanser. You guys know I am very happy with my YULI stuff and can’t recommend them enough.
MUN Launch. Mun’s toner has finally launched! MUN N0.11 Anarose Rejuvenating Rose Toner* is available for purchase at Munskin.com and you can get it with a 20% off discount using the code “HOLIDAY2014″. I am looking forward to slapping it on my face tonight, because my skin has been quite dry since the weather has changed, and also as a result of the rash. This toner contains hyaluronic acid, prickly pear stem extract, Aloe Leaf Juice, and Rose Water, so I expect it to be very hydrating. If you like Aknari then you may want to give Anarose a try as well. Also, keep an eye on Genuine Glow later this week as I may have a little MUN love to share with you all soon.. *winks*
Holiday Gift Guides. I am usually terrible at Holiday Shopping and buy everything at the last minute, but this year I have started my shopping early to prevent stressing out. Yesterday I published my first gift guide for inexpensive, stocking stuffers. If you need ideas, keep an eye on the upcoming posts that I will publish, which will feature gift ideas for different tastes and budgets.
Giveaway. If you have not entered this week’s giveaway, make sure to do it! True Nature Botanicals sent me one of their gorgeous perfumes (in the scent Noble Woods) to give away. It is a little gem. Most glamorous, refillable metal compact, (same concept as with Kjaer Weis makeup), and an intense, warm, woodsy scent. The giveaway is open internationally. You can enter here.
