During the last Night for Green Beauty event in LA, True Nature Botanicals launched three solid perfumes that got many people talking. The perfumes were created to offer pure, authentic scents by using high concentrations of noble materials – hence the scent names starting with Noble – like Orris, Tuberose, and Liquid Amber. With my not being a perfume fanatic due to my sensitivity to scents, I could not understand the excitement about them until I received three sample sticks in the mail.
I took me only three days of sniffing my samples to finally choose one of the three scents available, and I picked Noble Woods. I had a hard time picking one because I really liked all of them, but I found this one to be the most unique. Noble Woods is intense, woodsy and has Vetiver, Amber, and Labdanum as the primary notes. It is slightly warm and sweet, but the woodsy element makes it seem more grown up. It reminds me a bit of some of the Dior perfumes that were popular in the mid-late 90s, but in a very good way.
In addition to the lovely scents, there a few more things about this perfume that I enjoy. First, it is solid like a balm, but even more concentrated. All you need is to slightly dab your fingers in it and apply it to your body. It is also very convenient to carry/travel with. Second, it is so concentrated that only the tiniest amount is needed for each application. That will make the perfume last for a very long time. Third, it comes in a beautiful, refillable tin, which reminds me very much of the Kjaer Weis makeup packaging. So pretty and unexpected for a perfume. It makes me want to look for a reason to pull it out of my purse. Lastly, it lasts all day long, and becomes more pleasant every hour, as it becomes less intense and creates a more personal scent from the contact with skin.
This is great if you are on the market for a perfume for yourself or if you are looking for a very special gift. Either way make sure to pick some free sample sticks to get acquainted with the True Nature Botanicals scents!
immondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil, Noble Woods BlendTM [cupressus sempervirens (italian cypress) leaf/nut/stem oil, dipteryx odorata (cumaru) bean extract, cistus ladaniferus resin, vanilla planifolia flower extract, fusanus spicatus wood oil, citrus aurantium bergamia (bergamot) fruit oil, vetiveria zizanoides (vetiver) root oil, ribes nigrum (black currant) seed oil, jasminum sambac (jasmine) flower wax, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower oil, rosa centifolia flower extract, cistus ladaniferus oil], polyglycerol-3 beeswax (cera bellina), hydrogenated jojoba oil (jojoba esters), cera alba (beeswax), butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, copernicia prunifera (carnauba) wax, dimethicone*, magnesium stearate
Note from TNB about dimethicone:* We paid close attention when the EWG gave dimethicone a rating of 3 because its small molecule size is easily absorbed by the body. Instead, we selected dimethicone 1000, a linear dimethicone with a very large molecule size that cannot be absorbed into the skin, making it safe and effective to use.
The company generously sent me one perfume to give away to one of you, (valued at $95). It’s in the same scent that I am using, Noble Woods. In order to participate, follow the rules listed in the Rafflecopter box below. Do not miss this chance, it is such a gorgeous prize! (Open Internationally)
