This is my tenth Weekend Catch-Up, which means that it has already been ten weeks since I started them! Time really does fly. Here are a few highlights from the past week…
Empties. This past week I finished two face cleansers, the Oskia Renassaince Cleansing Gel and the YULI Halcyon Cleanser. Both were great and I would/will repurchase them. I used the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel mainly at night for my second cleanse or my only cleanse on makeup-free days. YULI Halcyon is a very light-weight and cleansing water-gel, so it is great for mornings when you need a quick cleanse that does give you a greasy-looking hairline. I also love how it dissolves completely with water and leaves no pore-clogging residue on the skin. I finished my first bottle of YULI Liquid Courage, too.
Repurchases. I repurchased the Liquid Courage before I even ran out of it. It works very well for my skin, keeping it hydrated and supple, healing blemishes, and smoothing wrinkles. I cannot think of anything that this serum does not do for my skin and think that it is completely worth the high price tag.
New Hair Product. I cannot believe I did this, but I actually purchased a non-Rahua shampoo that I have heard a lot about, called Rare El’ements Pure Shampoo. I have been loyal to the Rahua Voluminous Shampoo for over a year, and to be honest, I did not really have a reason to try another shampoo, because I still love the results I get with Rahua. I was just very curious about the Rare El’ements shampoo in light of the great reviews that I have read. I will keep you posted. In case you were interested in sampling it, The Detox Market sells samples of Rare Elements shampoo and conditioner (find them here).
Lipstick Love. This week I re-discovered an old favorite from Vapour, called Vapour Organic Beauty Siren Lipstick in Chere. Beautiful pink-nude that has the loveliest (non synthetic) scent and a slightly shiny finish. I also loved the Ilia Beauty Dress You Up Lipstick Crayon. Great every day color for Fall and convenient packaging.
Products of the Week. First, the Osmia Organics Vanilla Shea Hand Cream. If you, too, wash your hands very often and your hands are dry all-the time, you will definitely appreciate a non-greasy, but moisturizing cream that also smells wonderful. Second, the new Blissoma Natural Deodorant sprays. Yep, I said spray and yes, it works great. I am using the Lavender-scented one*, and I can’t stop sniffing… my armpits. I do like my Meow Meow Tweet Lavender Bergamot deodorant stick, but the convenience of a deodorant spray that you can carry in your purse is priceless.
Sales? Sorry, guys, but I do not know of any special sales this week. However, if I had to recommend something to buy, it would be Osmia’s hand cream and Blissoma Natural Deodorant. Blissoma’s deodorants are available at Abe’s Market, and they are offering free shipping on orders of $29+, so you can get a deodorant for your boo (or your bff, your momma, etc), and save on the shipping costs. I will definitely pick up some for my sister and send it over to her in Italy ❤
