What’s in My Makeup Bag #5

What's In My Makeup Bag #5

I think I may have gone a bit wild with skincare posts lately, and I also I recently tried a few new products that I just had to share about, so here it is my makeup bag Fall Edition. The cute bag you see in the photo is from See Design, which I show in this post in a different pattern. The red pattern is one of my favorites, but there are quite a few others that are very pretty as well!

Onto the products. A recent, lovely discovery has been the Christopher Drummond Concealer (in Light), which is the first non-conventional concealer I have tried that gives medium to high coverage. Like with any other full-coverage concealer, having a light hand is crucial to avoid caking up the under-eye area. However, if applied correctly, this concealer is really great and covers blemishes, redness, and all other imperfections very well. It can also be used as a liquid foundation by mixing it with a small amount of moisturizer. I Will use it in my next FOTD post to demonstrate how it works.

On my cheeks, I have been loving another Vapour Organic Beauty Stain, in the shade Impulse. It is a red shade that gives a lovely pop of color to my cheeks and stays on all day long. In case you missed it, I already reviewed another Vapour Beauty Multi Use Blush Stain (checkout the post here) and will definitely show you this shade as well.

My brows need to be filled in 365 days a year, no matter the season, and I am currently loving this combo with Lavera All Brows Pencil and Jane Iredale Brow Gel In Blonde. The Lavera pencil is a really great shade of taupe, neutral and ashy-toned and the brow gel seals my brow hairs in place with just a hint of color.

For eyes, the Afterglow Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Impasto has been my favorite. A matte brown with a soft green undertone shade that speaks Fall all around. The texture is just as lovely as the two eye shadows I showed you in this post. I pretty much skipped the liquid liner on most Summer days due to the un-cooperative weather, but as the weather changed (I forgot how great is to live at lower temperatures and not have makeup melting). I am finally able to start wearing liner again. I had heard great things about the Zuzu Liquid Liner in Raven from several fellow bloggers so I gave it a try. It is hard to believe that this liner is a “natural” one, because it works so great. Maybe I will do a separate post with swatch and FOTD? (Let me know if you are interested!) Following the liner I always apply two coats of Kjaer Weis Mascara and eyes are done.

Lips could not feel any better than in the Ilia Beauty Lipstick in Femme Fatale (remember my post about that one?). A beautiful medium red lipstick that I just could not wait to pull out of the drawer. Nails have been often painted with Zoya Pixie Dust in Dahlia, a fun black shade with a subtle shimmery texture. Best thing about  it? It stays on my nails as long as I don’t remove it. I don’t have a lot of time for nail painting lately, so that is cool with me.

What is in your Fall makeup bag? Anything that I should be checking out?
