Osmia Organics Deodorant Cream

Osmia Organics Deodorant Cream
Osmia Organics Deodorant ReviewDon’t let the muddy appearance of this deodorant trick you, it feels wonderful when applied!

This week has been a good one, since I was able to find some gems that I never got the chance to write about. Yesterday I reviewed my beloved Pai Cleanser, while today it is my favorite deodorant’s turn. I meant to review the Osmia Organics Deodorant Cream* in August, (after I mentioned it in my monthly favorites of July) and then I kept using it, but forgot to put my thoughts together for the blog.

This is a deodorant cream and it comes in a little jar. If you have already heard about Soapwalla‘s deodorant cream, the concept is the same. To apply, I stick my finger in the jar and pick up a small amount of product and then I gently apply it to the armpit area.  The scent of it is delightful, in fact every Osmia Organics product that I have tried smells ridiculously good. The cream has a subtle scent, refreshing and herbaceous, without being too earthy. It actually fades quickly leaving almost no scent at all (so no worries if you are not into “green” scents, you can still enjoy this product). With that, it completely prevents odor and it was a faithful companion to me even on the hottest days of this past Summer (where I live a hot day means 100+ degrees). Of course, since the application requires the use of my fingers I do not carry it on me, but I don’t really need “touch-ups” during the day anyway, so that has not been an issue for me.

Ingredients:

butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter*, tapioca starch*, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil*, sodium bicarbonate, fuller’s earth clay, callophyllum inophyllum (tamanu) oil*, vegetable glycerin*, and a proprietary blend of certified organic and wild-harvested essential oils
91.9% certified organic ingredients
100% ingredients from nature

Lovely ingredients, right? Now, if you are sensitive to baking soda, it would be a good idea to test out a small amount of product first. However, I say that as a word of caution because I know that some people could experience some irritation from baking soda in that area, but I have never experienced any. The one thing that I have to be careful about is getting white marks on clothes, so I just take my time to put on my clothes carefully, especially if they are dark-colored.

Bottom line, this is the best natural deodorant I have tried because it really works and it is made with good ingredients. I may occasionally cheat with a “less natural” makeup product, but when it comes to personal care, and especially products that I use on a daily basis, non-toxic ingredients are non-negotiable. I am almost completely out of it and plan on getting myself more!

The deodorant cream retails for $12  at Osmia Organics.
