Kjaer Weis Highlighter Radiance ReviewKjaer Weis Highlighter Radiance Close Up

Highlighters and contouring products have definitely gained some popularity over the past couple of years and I can see why. A good contour/highlight job can enhance and beautify facial features and give a more expensive look to the skin as well. The latest addition to my collection of highlighters is the Kjaer Weis Highlighter in Radiance*, a creamy, rosey-champagne product that gives the skin a beautiful glow.

The texture of the product is outstanding. It is creamy, but not too creamy and it sets on the skin without feeling like it is going to slide off. I am amazed at how Kjaer Weis manages to create textures that are so easy to work with by using only natural and mostly organic ingredients, (the Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation is also a favorite of mine). The consistency of this highlighter is what makes it easy to apply it on the skin. Personally, I do not like to rub it on my cheekbones in a sweeping motion, but instead I lightly dab it until it is evenly distributed, starting from the beginning of the cheekbone under my eye, going upwards diagonally ’til the side of my eyebrow.

The shade is a universally flattering warm-pearl color. As someone who has a very strong golden undertone, I would have not expected a product with a lavender tone to work for me. However, as you can see in the photo, it actually looks neutral and sits nicely against my skin tone. The overall shimmery effect is not too obvious, (no large glittery particles or obvious shimmer) however you may be able to see the shimmer particles in a close-up. I would prefer if the particles were even smaller than they are, but you need to get very close to see them, so it is not a deal-breaker for me. In fact, this is the only highlighter I have been wearing since I got it. It gives the perfect touch of radiance that makes the skin look like a million bucks.

My favorite way to wear it is in combination with the newest cream blush from Kjaer Weis, called Embrace, (stay tuned to see the whole new Fall collection). Embrace is a gorgeous neutral pink-nude color, so it pairs beautifully with the Radiance highlighter. *Update* See photos and swatches of the Kjaer Weis Embrace Cream Blush.

As with any Kjaer Weis product, the package is a treat. A glamorous silver compact that is refillable, so that once you run out of the product you can just purchase the refill and place it in the compact.

Time to retire the Living Luminizer? Well, that may depend on your preference. As for me, I pick Radiance over the Living Luminizer for the perfect, silky texture (so easy to work with) and the fresh, not too dewy effect that it gives to the skin. And of course, it’s nice to know that is manufactured in my country (Forza Italia!)

Ingredients:

caprylic / capric triglyceride, mica, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil*, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil*, zea mays (corn) starch*, cera alba (beeswax)*, copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax*, simmondsia chinesis (jojoba) seed oil*, polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate, rosa rubiginosa (rosehip) seed oil*, ammonium glycyrrhizate (licorice root), non-gmo tocopheryl acetate (nature-identical). vanilla planifolia (vanilla) fruit extract*. may contain + / – : titanium dioxide (ci 77891), iron oxides (ci 77491, ci 77499). *Certified Organic. Love your makeup! I wish you would do makeup tutorials here on your blog for those of us who are new to makeup! Also here’s a blogpost idea, it would be good if you could do all your favourite picks for each category, foundation, concealer, powder, mascara etc for those who are new to natural makeup and want to switch over!

    • Just saw this comment, Nurul! I hope you’re enjoying my Youtube videos ❤️ Will have to work on a blog post like the one you requested. Thank you so much for reading! x

  • So beautiful! It really does like you are lit from within. Kjaer Weis is such a quality, luxurious brand and each of their products are a pleasure to use.

  • Ah! I am glad you reviewed this. I am golden-toned as well and didn’t think this would suit me at all, but I couldn’t help but ouuuh and aaahh over it because it looks so beautiful. It looks great on you! While I loved the Living Luminizer when I tried it, coconut oil makes me break out a lot so I can’t use most of RMS Beauty’s products. I think I might just need to give this Kjaer Weis one a try!

  • I think I’m going to give in and buy my first ever KW product soon – (no) thanks to you, Lil!! :) Love your glow, so enviable!

  • laura

looks nice on you. I tried it and I agree – the texture is superb. I, however, also find the glitter/sparkle mica particles a bit too big and obvious; so for me it’s more of an evening than a daytime product. I’d love if it would work for both….

  • Dawn

You are so beautiful. What liquid liner do you use?

  • Marni

I think I prefer the finish look of Living Luminizer (although I find the texture a little bit greasy). Anyway, your skin is close to perfection!!

  • Stephanie

It looks great, and I love KW, but thankfully highlighters are not one of my weaknesses. Their new lip color on the other hand…Looking forward to these posts!

  • Everything looks so gorgeous on you!<3

  • Kelsey

Love this! Definitely going to have to pick it up soon! What foundation are you wearing in that picture? It’s flawless

  • I wasn’t sold on the tone of this highlighter, until now :D I’ll have to go give it a swatch at Content.

    Mayah x

  • Mady

I prefer the Living Luminizer. The KW highlighter is too shimmery and looks fake up close. Though I do prefer its warmer hue…

  • RebeccaNMDL

the KW looks great on you! you make me wish I knew how to do a cat eye ; )

  • PeonyandPeach

It sounds lovely! The shade and packaging are gorgeous! Do you know if it’s available in the uk? Also, your eyeliner looks brill!

  • Wow, this looks incredible! I’m a huge Living Luminzer junkie (like everyone?!) but I’m really fair and I love the shade of this one!

Do you find it breaks you out at all, though? The sweet almond oil makes me nervous since I haven’t used too many products with it as an ingredient–the only one I have, Kjaer Weiss foundation, did break me out, so I might have to skip this haha.

  • Bambi Organics

Mi piace un sacco, proprio ce l’ho adosso ^_^ bellissimo colore ❤❤❤

  • Claire

Hi! May I know are you also wearing “Embrace” in the picture? :>

    • Well spotted, Claire! ;) I will have more photos of Embrace up on the blog soon. Such a pretty color!

      • Claire

It looks so au naturel and pretty on you. I really like the look! Looking forward to your new pictures and post soon, thank you so much for answering my question. :D

        • Thank you, Claire! I just posted a review for the Embrace cream blush, I hope you find it helpful ;)

          • Claire

Dear Lilly, I have made purchase of Radiance and Embrace upon your reviews/recommendation on them as they are too pretty to pass up. :> I will just like to say that I am new to the clean scene and I am grateful to have found your blog as I have find them very helpful! I really enjoy your posts and thoughts on the products so I hope you will never stop reviewing them.

          • This made my day! I am so glad you find my blog helpful :)

Thank you for taking the time to let me know, I truly appreciate it, Claire! I hope you enjoy the Kjaer Weis products :)

  • I adore this luminizer, and I also prefer it to the RMS — not as slippery and with a great dry finish. Looking beautiful, Lilly! xoxo
