Ilia Beauty Funnel Of Love FOTD

Last week, I had changed my Instagram profile image to this one above and I was asked what makeup I was wearing in quite a few private messages, emails, tweets. I wasn’t wearing many new products and was not trying any new fun trend (although I am in love with the Marsala color that Pantone chose as color of the year). However, considering that I did not have a single photo on the blog wearing my favorite peachy-nude lipstick, Ilia Beauty Funnel Of Love, and that some of you wanted to know what I was wearing, I thought I would line the products up here for you.

On my skin: I used only 1-2 drops of YULI Liquid Courage Antioxidant Serum, pressed onto moist skin. I usually wait a couple of minutes after I moisturize my skin so the product can sink into it, and in the meanwhile I go to pick up the makeup that I want to wear. I then applied the Gressa Minimalist Corrective Serum Foundation in the shade 4. I use about 7-8 drops on my face and 2-3 on my neck to get the coverage I want. Not sure if you can tell (I surely can), but I did not wear any concealer. I really like how natural the coverage of the Gressa foundation is under the eyes and how it does not emphasize fine lines. I am thinking about buying a lighter shade for highlighting.

The foundation has a luminous finish, so I did not add any highlighter because in the daytime the luminosity of the foundation is already enough for me. I only added a tiny bit of RMS Beauty Un Powder on my forehead and nose to make sure that the skin would not get shiny throughout the day. As you may be able to tell, I forgot to fill in my brows, so it’s a good thing that my hair is partly covering my brows because I have bald spots in them…

On my eyes: First I used a tiny amount of the bareMinerals Eyelid Primer (best option I have tried so far in terms of ingredients/performance**) and then I applied the Kjaer Weis eyeshadow in Charmed on my lid and up to the crease. After that I added Wisdom and Magnetic* (I mix them together) in the crease to intensify the look just a little, and finally I used Cloud Nine on my brow bone. I used the Antonym Eye Pencil in Noir to line my eyes and then I added the Eylure false lashes in Lovely Lolita, because at the moment I do not have a mascara that I really like and my beloved Kjaer Weis mascara needs to be refilled. I am not even too picky when it comes to mascaras, but one thing is non-negotiable: a mascara needs to keep the curl or otherwise it is almost useless for people like me who have straight, almost downward-pointing lashes. My lash glue of choice is the Georgie Beauty Adhesive.

On my lips: I wore Ilia Beauty in the shade Funnel Of Love and I promise that my lip liner did not look so overdrawn in real life (Jane Iredale Lip Pencil in Peach).

Get ready for some very, very pretty makeup launches coming soon! They are going to be good.

**I am testing out some natural eye primers, so I will keep you posted about them.
