Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Cleansing Oil & Makeup Remover

One Love Organics Cleansing Oil & Makeup Remover ED4OLO Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Review Vitamin B

The one skincare product that I always get nervous about trying is a new cleanser. The reason why is that about one year ago I was testing out a few new cleansers that literally ruined my skin and gave me the worst breakout I have ever experienced in my life. It lasted for several months and only started to get better when I began to use the MVO Face Oil, (you see why I am huge fan of it?). Therefore, when I find a cleanser that works well without irritating my skin, I stay loyal to it. That is the case for my beloved Pai Cleanser and also the Aurelia Miracle Cleanser. A new one was recently added to the brief list of the safe ones; it is the ED4OLO Active Moisture Cleansing Oil & Makeup Remover.

Here’s the deal: imagine a light oil that smells like tropical fruits, melts & removes all the gunk off your face, and then magically dissolves with water. Just-like-that. If you are into oil cleansing you are probably thinking that such a wonder-product does not exist, but this is exactly what this cleansing oil is like. Now, for all of you who do not use oils on your face (but should), let me explain why this cleansing oil is amazing. When you cleanse with an oil, whether is jojoba, coconut, argan, castor, almond, or whatever else, the makeup completely melts off. However, taking off all the oil from your face requires some time and patience – wipe, wipe again, and one more time. This needs to be done properly to avoid leaving residue on the skin. This cleansing oil instead, completely dissolves with water. I hope that gives you an idea of how brilliant that is. It makes the whole cleansing ritual  more relaxing and enjoyable. In addition to that, Elizabeth Dehn and One Love Organics added some interesting ingredients to do some good to your skin while you are enjoying your cleansing routine: papain, a fruit enzyme that gently exfoliates the skin (without any particles that physically do the exfoliation, so no-scrubbing is involved), and a natural Vitamin B complex that detoxifies and tones the skin. This cleanser is very gentle to my sensitive skin and actually makes it very happy, causing no redness nor blemishes.

Bottom line: love.

The Vitamin B Cleansing Oil & Makeup Remover can be found at the The Detox Market.

  • This has already made it onto my mental “to try asap” list from a couple other reviews, but I’m glad to see you reinforce that even more! There are lots of things I love about oil cleansing, but what bugs me more than the wiping off is how it ends up coating the whole sink with an oil film too. I’m imagining if this dissolves so easily, it’ll help keep your sink cleaner too :)

    • Hi Caitie, this is definitely genius! I love it, my skin loves it. Will repurchase it for sure ;)

  • juliet

I’m about two weeks into my bottle and LOVE it! If I wanted to nit-pick, I’d say it could be a little thinner. I think if it were you could use less product with less pull on the skin, but that is definitely not going to stop me from repurchasing! It’s great!

    • Hi Juliet, totally agree with you. It’s so so good! I need a jumbo size! x

  • Gita Bončina

Oh I know what you mean by being cautious when using a new cleanser. I’m sticking to the Pai one, so far has been the perfect for my skin. And this Elizabeth Dens one sounds very promising, I’d totally try it out!

What are your thoughts on Emma Hardie cleansers?

    • Hi Gita, I haven’t tried any Emma Hardie cleanser. I was curious about the Emma Hardie cleansing balm, but read that it contains a few ingredients that I try to avoid in my personal care (Phenoxyethanol, Butylene Glycol, …)

If you want to try something new, I highly recommend trying this cleanser from One Love Organics, it’s really unique and effective!

      • Gita Bončina

Yep, that’s also why I didn’t opted for Emma Hardie one – Butylene Glycol :S.
Thanks, will definitely try this :)!

Oh man, now I am really itching to try this cleanser. The only thing that I dislike about oil cleansing is the fact that I have to remove it with a cloth over and over again. It’s therapeutic and all but not everyday I can get pumped up about it! This sounds sooooo gooood. Do you find it hydrating too that you don’t need a moisturizer afterwards or this totally acts like a cleanser?

    • Hey love, this is really easy to take off, that is why I like it so much. It takes me two minutes to apply it and give my face a nice massage, and one minute to take it off. Done! My response to your question is – yes, it does totally act like a cleanser, but it leaves the skin very soft and supple. I always use some moisturizer because my fine lines need it ;)

      • asti

Awesome, that’s the answer I want to hear (I kinda love my moisturizers too much to not skip it!). Will grab it once I finish my current cleanser. Thanks for the feedback.

        • I hope you love it too if you try it! ;)

  • Sydney

I have had my eye on this line for a minute but I’m a little afraid to go in and buy the full size bottles right away…I think I’m going to have to get the sample pack of the line first. Weird question though- I know this is a cleanser but do you think it could also be used as a leave- on moisturizer ?

    • Hi Sydney, I don’t think you could use it as a moisturizer, even though the product is very moisturizing and leaves the skin soft and luminous. I was a bit skeptical at first too, (it sounded too good to be true!) but it works wonderfully for my skin. If they made a bigger size, I would buy it right away ;)

  • Yvonne

I love cleansers in general. I already have and love OLO Savior Balm, Easy Foaming Cleanser and Chia Whip, not to mention my cleansers from many other brands! I recently bought everything from ED4OLO bar the cleanser as I was trying to be somewhat good. Looks like I won’t be good for long…

And the Aurelia Miracle Cleanser has also been on my wish list for a while after having read your review, but that purchase is definitely one for the future.

    • Hi Yvonne, the oil cleanser is too good to be left out ;) Maybe you can finish up another one before you buy it! The miracle cleanser is also wonderful. I think I love cleansers in general too, now that I have found these ones.

PS-I have another cleanser review coming up soon! I am warning you ;)

      • Yvonne

Haha – you blog is enabling my skincare shopping addiction Lilly! But yes, I will (try to) finish up one cleanser first.

  • Liz

I feel you, I’m always a bit nervous before trying out a new cleanser because my skin is quite sensitive. I still haven’t found my holy grail cleanser and I’m still getting over some bad skin breakout.

I haven’t tried this cleanser, but I’m using Antonia Burrell Natural Glow Cleansing oil at the moment, and it seems to be quite similar to ED4OLO. You just need to massage your face with the oil and then splash some water on your face. The smell is also incredible.

Now I’m just going to have a look at the MVO face oil. Thank you for the recommandations.

Read your review of this product, ordered it, and I love it. It’s my first foray into oil cleansing and natural skin care and I totally dig it. Love your blog and your honest review of products. Thanks!

    • Hi Jill, I am very glad to hear you love it, too. Thank you for your kind words, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, xo.

  • Akey

Hi Lily, I’ve been experiencing hormonal congested and breakout skin for these few months and that makes me hesitate to go outside. Could you give me an advice which cosmetics would work (both skincare and foundation) if you don’t mind?? Thanks :)

    • Hi Akey, I’m sorry that your skin has not been doing well lately and I would love to suggest a few products that could work for you. However, if you don’t mind me asking, I would like to know if you know the possible cause of these breakouts. Has anything changed into your life since you started to break out? Lifestyle changes? Diet? Sleep problems? Products can help maintain the surface of the skin healthy and protect it from damage, but it is essential that you get to the root of the problem in order to completely heal your skin and stop breaking out. If you prefer to send me a private email to continue this conversation, you may do so at lilly@genuineglow.com. I look forward to helping you as much as I can. xo
