The Ellovi Butter* is a delicious treat for the skin. Being a rich moisturizer, I have enjoyed using it a lot because my body skin is the complete opposite of my facial skin: it is dry, and almost flakey (I just can’t win!). Only thick, heavy creams and body serums have helped with keeping my skin moisturized, and this butter is one of them.
The texture is truly buttery. It looks like a solid balm but melts onto the skin as I apply it, and feels like a serum. It does not leave any thick, greasy film on the skin but penetrates it easily and leaves only a light layer of moisture. Although the product is unscented, (meaning that it does not contain any added scent), it has a delicately sweet scent which is not overpowering and it is simply the lovely smell of the ingredients. I find it absolutely delicious, and it reminds me of an Italian pastry I love called Sciu’, which is our own version of bigne’… mmmm.
This butter contains only six pure and simple, yet powerful ingredients: Macadamia Nut Oil, Coconut Oil, Marula Nut Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Organic (non-GMO) Corn Starch, and Shea Butter. These are all very moisturizing ingredients that also deliver beneficial nutrients, such as (loads of) fatty acids, that keep the skin soft and smooth.
