Monthly Favorites: November 2013

November Beauty FavoritesNovember Favorites

It’s about that time of the month where I talk you through my favorites. November could briefly be summarized by the  following: lots of carrots, argan oil, a little Instagram, some amazing nude lipsticks I will tell you about soon, and loads of hot chocolate, (I told you last month I was looking for a good one and I found one that is to die for here). As far as beauty favorites, this is what made the cut…

MV Skincare Rose Soothing and Protecting Moisturiser*. My love for this product grew even stronger since I wrote my review. My skin has been more sensitive than usual due to the weather and this moisturiser has been helping immensely. Whenever my cheeks get red and look irritated, I just dab a tiny amount of moisturiser and the redness goes down. Best thing about it – no clogged pores, as it usually happens with rich lotions that help with the redness but then cause small bumps to appear. I have also started to use it in combination with another MV Skincare product (spoiler here on Instagram) and the two together are just insanely good for my skin.

Mystery perfect nude lipstick. Ha! Just teasing you. I am in love with this lipstick and I will have a full post about it asap. Nude lip lovers, please be patient.

Ilia Beauty Lipstick Crayon in Dress You Up. Sometimes I just add a little bit of this and it looks like my lips–but better, while other times I apply more to get what I call a non-fully committed berry lip. Either way, this is one of those shades that I always keep on hand.  I cannot get over how lovely the formula of Ilia’s lipstick crayons is.

Kahina Giving Beauty 100% Organic Argan Oil*. I dyed my hair a few weeks ago, and as expected, it did not look as healthy, but looked dull and dry. First thing that came to my mind – the gorgeous argan oil bottle standing on the top of my bathroom counter. Only a few drops every couple days and it is getting right back to the usual softness and shine. Trust me on this one, you do not need to buy hair masks and probably do not even need a conditioner. Just use a few drops of your favorite beauty oil as a hair mask a few hours before you have to wash your hair, and it will be soft and easy to comb. Even better, do not dye your hair, unless you’re 31 with a significant percentage of gray.

Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Cleansing Oil. During November I went a little crazy with eyeshadow, mascara (and falsies), and this oil made my cleansing routine a whole lot easier (and quicker). If you wear makeup, especially if you wear it daily, you should check this one out. Read my first impressions here.

Speaking of falsies, I am not a big fan of fluttery, extra-long ‘dolly’ lashes, but I do love the Eylure 020. They fit my eyes perfectly, are easy to use, and look very natural. The 020 only give some volume, not much length, so they do not look too obvious. As for the glue, I do not use the one that the lashes come with and I instead use the Georgie Beauty Winks Lash Adhesive. It works just as good as the classics Duo or Revlon, but is free of the questionable chemicals that are in those brands, such as formaldehyde and synthetic fragrances.

S.W. Basics Lip Balm*: These lip balms are so good. I am using the ones made with beeswax, but there is a vegan version of these as well. They definitely belong to the list of my favorite lip balms I posted a few weeks ago (they happened to arrive after the post). They moisturize my lips very well and smell lovely. The formula is very simple with only three to five ingredients. I am considering a full review. Let me know if you all would find that useful.

Allright lovelies, what were your favorites in November?
