May Lindstrom Skin The Good Stuff

The Good Stuff May Lindstrommay lindstrom good stuff

I was recently spoiled by LeVert Beauty with a gift that I kept postponing purchasing myself. I knew that The Good Stuff was going to be special, but I planned to wait until I at least finished another one of my body oils. You guys already know that I am always willing to spend extra money on facial skin care, but when it comes to body care I am not as quick to splurge. However, like any May Lindstrom Skin product, there is something especially delightful about it, and this may be one of the few expensive body products that I will buy myself once I run out. Here’s why.

The formula includes organic plant oils such as Jojoba, Macadamia, Plum Kernel, and Sea Buckthorn. While it feels quite rich upon application, it is non-greasy and sinks into the skin quickly so that one minute after the application I can get dressed without my clothes sticking to the skin. It leaves the skin feeling very comfortable and very soft. Here’s a few more facts about the oils in this serum:

Jojoba oil provides long-lasting moisture¹, by improving the retaining of moisture in the skin for up to 24 hours;

Macadamia oil restores levels of Palmitic Acid (Omega 7), which promote skin elasticity and fight the appearance of fine lines;

Sea Buckthorn extract significantly promotes the healing of the skin², possibly due to its antioxidant qualities.

Plum Kernel oil is a highly emollient oil due to its high fatty acid content. It contains different bioactive compounds³, such as β-carotene (provitamin A) and tocopherols, which promote wound healing.

Here’s the full list of ingredients:

simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil*, macadamia integrifolia (macadamia nut) oil*, olea europaea (olive) oil*, prunus spp (plum kernel) oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) oil*, hippophae rhamnoides (sea buckthorn) oil*,theobroma cacao (cocoa absolute) oil, cananga odorata (ylang-ylang) essential oil*, rosa damascena (rose absolute) essential oil*, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) essential oil*,
mica. *Certified organic. (Gluten-free, vegan.)

Besides the moisturizing, softening, and skin-healing formula, which I love, what is absolutely striking and special about this body serum (and all May Lindstrom products in general) is the scent. Cocoa, ylang-ylang, rose, and lavender create that luxurious, signature May Lindstrom scent that is sweet and sexy. Strong enough to be noticed, but never obnoxious. Like chocolate and flowers, in the best way possible. May Lindstrom is truly a genius when it comes to creating products that encourage self-care.

To the excellent formula and the dreamy scent, May Lindstrom adds the slightest amount of golden shimmer to the serum (from mica), that is dispersed when smoothed over the skin, and looks absolutely perfect if a little skin is showing. It gives the skin a subtle, healthy glow without looking glittery at all (I can barely see any shimmer). The photo above shows a before and after application.

Although I absolutely love this body oil, and I am enjoying every single drop of it, I still feel like it’s slightly overpriced for what it contains. As with all May Lindstrom Skin product, I must admit that there is something especially luxurious about it when compared to others, but I have tried other body oils that I also like, and are half the price of this one. If this serum fits your budget, then it’s a treat worth splurging on.
