Waxelene Review

Waxelene Review Jar and Tube

Dry skin? Chapped lips? Rough elbows and knees? Let me introduce you to your new BFF. The name is Waxelene*, all-purpose, super balm. It is advertised as an alternative to petroleum jelly, so if you are a big Vaseline user you need to check this out. Instead of mineral oils and paraffin Waxelene contains four simple, natural ingredients: organic soybean oil (non-GMO), beeswax, organic rosemary oil, and vitamin E oil (made from non-GMO soybeans).

It is quite thick and rich, so a small amount goes a long way, and the texture is soft and spreads like butter. It is unscented, but has a subtle honey smell to it that quickly fades after applied. As I apply it, my dry skin immediately feels more hydrated, comfortable, and much softer. I like to use it at night before bed as a repairing treatment for lips and hands, and wherever else my body needs extra moisture. By the time I wake up in the morning, my hands are soft and my lips are plump and smooth.

Waxelene is a true, multi-purpose product. With the jar that I received, I also got a little brochure with a list of 100 ways to use this product. In fact, if I had to pick one must-have product for the colder season, this would be it.

Waxelene comes in a 2 oz. or a 9 oz. glass jar, and it is now also available in a practical .75 oz Flip Top Squeeze Tube. You can find Waxelene here. My recommendation would be to keep the big jar on your nightstand and the clever tiny tube in your purse. No more chapped lips and hands, only skin feeling happily ever after.

Oooooh! I need to have this! I stopped using vaseline a long time ago because of it being nothing but badness for you. I love how the ingredients list is so simple (and non-GMO!). :-)

    • Hello! I am so glad you found a replacement for Vaseline ;) Let me know what you think if you try it :)

  • Call It Vanity

What a simple but important product to have, thanks for the into ;)

    Mayah x

    • Hi Mayah, you’re very welcome! Glad you found out about it :)

  • Sydney

Hi Lilly :) Would you say that it’s greasy or does it sink into your skin well? Also, are you still using the Celcus Scar Cream and is it working well on acne marks/scars?

    • Hi Sydney, it depends on how much product you apply, but I like to use a thick layer on my hands every night and it feels quite greasy! I wouldn’t wear it in daytime unless it was freezing cold and I needed extra protection. I prefer to use it before going to bed so that my hands repair overnight, and it works great for that. My hands get so dry that they itch and get chapped, but this balm makes them completely better.
As for the Celsus, lately I have been forgetting to use it. However, during the time that I was using it every day I noticed that it helped tremendously with the healing of newer scars. Will have to write a post about it!

Thanks for your comment love, and don’t hesitate to write me if you have other questions!

  • I have some Waxelene, too, and will be storing it in my bag for fall // winter! It’s so thick. Great, simple product.

    • Hi Kim, I just can’t be without it. I wash my hands frequently (clean freak problems) and cold weather is really unforgiving. A thick layer of this on my hands every night keeps them from chapping, that’s why I like it so much!

      Thanks for the comment gorgeous!

  • love the sound of this! adding it to my list – i think i may just have to indulge this winter! :)

    • Hi Joyce, I am sure you would love it too! There are just so many ways you can use it ;)
