Kjaer Weis Eye Shadow (is) Divine

I gave you a little break from my raving about Kjaer Weis’ products, but I could not withhold myself any longer! From the gorgeous packaging and beautiful shades to the blendable textures, I just keep finding new KW products to love. Today’s product is one of my favorite eye shadows from the line, called Divine (which I find to be a very appropriate name for it). Gray eye shadow is actually one of the makeup trends for this Fall and it was used in several fashion shows. In some shows it was used to create strong, graphic-eye looks (Salvatore Ferragamo), while in others it was used for a light wash of color over the entire lid (Alexander Wang). However, I like to make it a bit more wearable by blending it well on my lid just above the crease line for an evening smokey eye.

The shade is a neutral graphite gray. It is free of shimmer, but has a beautiful satin, luminous finish. It is nicely pigmented so it can be applied lightly for a subtle wash of color, or can be intensified by applying a little extra product. I love how it blends easily and stays put without budging or creasing.

Kjaer Weis’ glamorous eye shadow compacts retail for $44 at The Detox Market, while the refills (magnetic palette-friendly) retail for $22 (at The Detox Market). This was totally worth the splurge in my humble opinion. I am already planning to add Wisdom and Pretty Purple to my Kjaer Weis makeup collection (I will provide you with photos of the shades Magnetic and Cloud Nine very soon, so stay tuned!)

You are a cutie I love your ‘contemplating’ pose there :)

that eyeshadow is stunning, I too love Divine! Do you usually wear it alone or blended with other color?

    • Hi love! Haha, I look like I am ‘contemplating’ a nap!

I only wear this shadow alone. Wearing a dark eye shadow is already a bit of a stretch for me! ;)

I see! I got a sample of this, but I’m not sure if I’m confident enough to wear darker eye shadows outside. Any tips?

        • I am sure it looks amazing on you! I would keep the face super simple, like plain foundation and nude lips. No blush, no overly filled in brows. Tweet me a pic ;)

  • Sally

    beautiful!

    • I agree, it’s a really gorgeous shade!

  • Ana Green

Really beautiful! I love Kjaer weis and everything I do not own is going on my Christmas list! :) Xx

    • You just reminded me Christmas is only three months away! Time to put up a Christmas wish list to give to my husband ;)

  • Hi Sydney, Divine is definitely one of the best eye shadows I have found since switching to the “green” brands. Let me know if you do try it and what you think about it.
Detailed tutorials are something that I would like to do ;)

  • Kasey Michelle

What a gorgeous color on you! :) Do you need any eyeshadow primer with this? I really need to narrow down the Kjaer Weis eyeshadow colors I want…there are too many!

    • Thank you Kasey! I do not use a primer, but I moisturize my lids with my Pai Eye Cream. The shades of Kjaer Weis eye shadows are all beautiful, it really depends on your preference… My favorites are Magnetics and Wisdom. I am a Taupe lover ;)
