Weekend Catch-Up #24

Weekend post #24

I meant to post more often this week but time really flew by. However I have got some very good things to chat about, and I hope that it makes up for the lack of posts…

Empties/Repurchased. This week I didn’t finish anything, but I have almost used up another bottle of the Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Cleansing Oil, which I will repurchase once again for sure. I have been wearing makeup almost every day, so I have used a lot of cleansing oil.

Added to My List. Lately I have been missing using the Kahina Giving Beauty Night Cream, so I plan on buying it some time soon. I don’t want to waste any of the products that I am using now because they are great and my skin is doing well, but I do miss that fluffy, hydrating, non-greasy cream. In the meanwhile I am loving the new Kahina Lip and Face Balm*, which I use only on lips. It’s a excellent conditioner and protective treatment.

New Kjaer Weis. This week Kjaer Weis launched three new lip tints (*squeals*) that are exclusively available at Net A Porter. I got the chance to try one of them, Beloved*, which is a stunning, dark magenta color. The color is rich and vibrant, and the finish is semi-matte. It is so moisturizing and lightweight that I forget that I am wearing it. The bright fuchsia shade, Rapture, also looks gorgeous, and the pale lavender shade Amazed, looks very daring. Knowing Kjaer Weis’ exquisite taste in creating unique but universally flattering shades, I bet that Amazed looks much better in person than in the pot. I am definitely intrigued. Have you checked these out yet?

A Good Mascara. This week I started to use a new mascara from Lily Lolo*, which arrived just in time because I was due replacing my old one. I must say that it has been working very well so far. Definitely better than the Antonym mascara I mentioned a few weeks ago, which was pretty good, (no smudging, no flaking), but did not hold the curl at all and my lashes are not naturally curly. Lily Lolo’s mascara gives a nice oomph, does not smudge at all, and holds the curl fairly well. I have only noticed some flaking toward the end of the day, but I was flake-free most of the day. I am very happy with it and at less than $20 it is more affordable than my Kjaer Weis mascara. Have you tried the Lily Lolo mascara? You can check it out here.

Glossy Hair. I recently bought a travel size bottle of the Evolvh UltraShine Moisture Shampoo to give it a try. The reviews I read mentioned the word volume quite often and that is one of the most important effects that I desire  from a shampoo (my hair is fine, straight, and tends to get flat). A small amount of product seems to be more then enough because it lathers quite a bit. I also like the scent, which is a bit stronger than what I am used to (even my husband commented on the strength of the scent), but I like it and have not any issues with it (you guys know I am pretty sensitive toward scents, but not this one). My favorite thing about it is that it makes my hair very shiny, and I am not one that usually cares about it, but gosh, it looks nice. You can find it at Birchbox, or if you would like to get a travel size just to try it a couple of times, you can find it here.

Gift Card With Purchase. This week The Detox Market is having the “Love is in the air” sale. They offer a $25 gift card with any purchase of $150, so if you want to buy something special for Valentine’s day (hopefully my husband will read this *ahem*) you get a gift card to use for future purchases or gift to someone else.

I apologize for not starting the giveaway I told you about last week. I’ll do my best to post it soon, together with the monthly favorites. Do you still want to see my 2014 favorites? I remember quite a few people asked me about it… let me know!

Have an amazing week everyone!
