Weekend Catch-Up #8

Weekend Post #8

I have been looking forward to the weekend to write my catch-up and hopefully I will be able to post more often this week. It has been a pretty hectic time, but things should be slowing down a bit. Here is the recap for the past week…

Empties. I have not used up anything this week, but I have only a few applications left of the Kahina Fez Hand & Body Balm*, which I have used every single night as a hand and cuticle treatment. I do have another balm to try next, but will probably get more Fez in the future because I enjoyed it.

What I purchased. Last week, the temperatures suddenly dropped and that tricked me into thinking that we were in Fall. My hands and lips started to get very dry, so I freaked out a bit and purchased the Amala Rejuvenating Hand Cream. However, shortly after I ordered it Summer made a glorious come back, (around 90 dregrees during the daytime), so I will probably start to use it in a few weeks when Fall really arrives.

Added to My List: Pai Skincare recently launched two face serums. The first one is called Instant Calm Redness Serum Sea Aster & Wild Oat, which targets sensitive skin types that are prone to redness and rosacea. The second one is called Perfect Balance Blemish Serum Copaiba & Zinc, and is specifically formulated to benefit oily and blemish-prone skin types. Having redness-prone skin that is also blemish-friendly, I am not sure which one would be the best pick for myself, but I will probably try the one for sensitive skin first. I am very curious about these! Have you checked them out yet?

New Skincare. I am going to break into a jar of de Mamiel Restorative Cleansing Balm* tonight, and I am so excited about it. I look forward to giving myself a nice, pampering massage with it! I will share more about it soon.

A Perfume That Rocks. I rarely get hooked on a perfume, but when I heard that True Nature Botanicals (formerly partnered with Marie Veronique Organics) launched three solid perfumes (yes, I meant to say solid), my nose got immediately interested. First, it is a solid perfume. How convenient is that? I carry it in my purse with no issues and can re-apply it if needed (definitely flight-friendly). Second, they all smell incredible and I had the hardest time choosing one. I ended up picking Noble Woods*, whose primary notes include Vetiver, Amber, and Labdanum. Lastly, the packaging is stunning. It reminds me of the Kjaer Weis makeup packaging: sleek, glamorous, and refillable. Definitely something to remember as a gift for the upcoming holidays.

Lipstick Love. Ilia Beauty In My Room and, Funnel Of Love (same as last week). They are both great for every day, casual makeup. In My Room is a warm nude-ish, pink; Funnel Of Love is a nude-ish, peach.

Makeup on Trial. I started to use the Ecobrow, a creamy brow color, and I have been pleasantly surprised by its staying power. It is also very easy to apply with an angled brow brush. I may still prefer pencils to fill-in bold spots where my hairs don’t grow, but for general eyebrow filling Ecobrow is working great.

Sales. This week’s deal from The Detox Market is $10 off a $100 order (code SMILE10), $30 off $200 (SMILE30), and $60 off $300 (SMILE60). Valid for all products.

I hope you have a great week!
