MV Skincare Instant Revival Booster

MV Skincare Instant Revival Booster Review

As you may have spotted on my Instagram feed and  in my Winter Beauty Essentials post, another MV Skincare product has made it to my favorites. It is the Instant Revival Booster*, and they could not have chosen a more appropriate name for it. This product is a fast-working serum that gives my skin a quick pick me up at the end of a long day and some more long-term repairing benefits.

It is made with well-known, skin repairing beauty oils, such as Centella, Avocado, Rosehip, Sweet Almond, and Jojoba. Although it is made with several oils, the booster glides on the skin and penetrates it beautifully leaving no residue on the skin. The texture is light and does not feel greasy at all. The effects are immediate–my complexion looks healthier, luminous, and plump. This product, followed by a good night of sleep, makes me feel very good about my skin. The lines become more smooth and the overall appearance gets radiant. My pores have not gotten clogged at all, and they actually look more smooth as well, since I have used the Booster.

As for the application, I like to follow these steps: spritz with my Kahina Toning Mist, cleanse, spritz again, and then on moist skin I apply a few drops of the Booster. I apply it around my eyes (not too close to my eyes, but I try to cover as much area around the eyes as possible). Then I move onto the rest of my face, making sure to cover the areas of my face where I have more dark spots. My skin looks immediately better and brighter. Sometimes I layer the Rose Soothing and Protective Moisturiser* on top of the Booster, while other times I just leave it there depending on whether I feel like I need extra moisture or not.

The only thing about this product that I am not a huge fan of is the scent. It does not smell bad, it is just a tad stronger than expected. However,  it is such an effective product that even if it smelled horrible, I would still use it! It is that good.

You can find The MV Skincare Booster at The Detox Market (USA) and Cult Beauty (Europe).

Nice ! is this a oil based serum then ?

    • Yes! It has a light oily texture that does not feel greasy at all ;) xx

  • juliet

how does this compare to the pai oil? i was just about to buy the pai, but now i wonder if i should get this one…

    • Hi Juliet, sorry for the delay! Not sure if you already made your purchase, but the two products are very different. Pai Bioregenerate is a wonderful rosehip oil. Just pure cold-pressed rosehip fruit and seed oil. It’s a lovely beauty oil and if you have never used rosehip oil before this is the one I recommend trying. The MV SKincare Instant Revival Booster is a serum, a blend of several beauty oils. You don’t get only the benefits of rosehip oil, but of other oils as well, such as Avocado, Centella, Jojoba and more. It’s quite expensive, but it’s a very effective product and I plan on purchasing it as soon as I run out of it because it works wonders for my skin. I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any other questions. :)

Nope, I haven’t purchased yet! I think I will try them both… Pai for a couple months and MV after that. Thanks for the info!

        • You’re welcome love! Let me know how they work for you ;)

  • Heather

Do you think it would be good for acne prone skin? Love your site btw! Your winter look is beautiful. I love how you show that caring about whats actually in our cosmetics doesnt have to be a compromise!! Keep it up!

    • Hi Heather, thank you for your kind words! I am very glad you enjoy reading it! As for the Instant Revival Booster, although I think that this product would work for everyone, there is another product made by the same brand that is specifically recommended for acne prone skin. It has the same consistency of the Instant Revival. It is called Rose Plus Skin Booster and you can check it out by clicking here I hope that helps! :)

Hi! My question is irrelevant to the post.. but I was wondering if you knew any natural and organic brand that carries matte eyeshadows? I’ve been looking like crazy and all I find are shimmery eyeshadows.. I feel kind of frustrated haha x

    • Hi Alexandra, I can certainly help you :) I have swatched a few of my favorites eyeshadows, including a few matte ones, in this post (click here
). However you can find a few additional shades at Afterglow (click here) where the description below the eyeshadows specifies if the formula is matte, shimmery or satin. They are very, very nice. Also, Kjaer Weis makes some gorgeous eyeshadows. They are not completely matte, but only have a subtle sheen to them. If you don’t mind using loose powders, you could also check out Silk Naturals (click here)
Please let me know if you have anymore questions, I would love to help you! Are you looking for a specific shade? If so, I can help you find it! ;)
