When I first saw the three makeup products that Kjaer Weis launched a little over a week ago, I thought that the cream blush in the shade Embrace* would have not easily found a place in my makeup routine. Described as a nude-pink with a blue tone to it, I did not expect it to work well on my Mediterranean complexion because it looked like a pale pink. Instead, it turned out to be my favorite one, and I have been reaching for it on a daily basis.

The consistency of Embrace appears to be slightly creamier than my other Kjaer Weis cream blushes, so it is very easy to work with. I just swirl my ring finger in the product, and then proceed with the application. The pigmentation is great, so a few dots on each cheek, carefully blended, provide more than enough color. This is why, even though the color is a nude-pink and looks quite pale in the pot, it actually looks very vibrant on the skin. Being very creamy, this blush blends seamlessly and gives a beautiful flush of baby pink color that makes my skin look healthy and luminous. No dewy, greasy, overly-sheen finish. It is very similar to the finish of the Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation (I am wearing the shade Illusion), which is a satin, luminous finish. I am also extremely pleased with the wearing time of this blush, as it tends to stay on my cheeks all day (up to 8 hours), without slipping around.

As I wrote above, Embrace is a pinky-nude color with a blue undertone, and surprisingly, it is very flattering even on my light/medium, yellow skin. I either apply a tiny amount for a subtle nude color, or I build it up to a more intense baby pink, (like in the first photo).  It works great when used in combination with the Kjaer Weis Highlighter Radiance that I showed you last week, because the the two shades compliment each other beautifully, creating the perfect glowing, pink flush. I also love to dab a little Embrace on my lips, (after applying a non-greasy lip moisturizer) to get a very soft, pink color on my lips, (as I am wearing it in this photo).

If you do not own any Kjaer Weis Cream Blushes yet, you should definitely try them. The colors are gorgeous, the formula is brilliant, the finish is universally flattering, and the packaging is the most glamorous I have seen. You cannot go wrong with the shades: Embrace, for a pretty pink flush; Desired Glow, for a sun-kissed, honey bronze glow; or Abundance, which doubles as a contour product.
