Dr. Hauschka Before After Bronze Concentrate Photos

A few years ago I finally realized that I was getting sun spots all over my face and I understood that they had been caused by my over-exposure to the sun. I had always loved spending time in the sun and I still do, but now I protect my skin with the appropriate sunscreen. However, I still enjoy a little Summer tint on my face, and the Translucent Bronze Concentrate* by Dr.Hauschka has been providing me with a very natural-looking glow.

The Dr.Hauschka Translucent Bronze Concentrate is a thin, bronze liquid made with mineral pigments, plant extracts, and oils and it is appropriate for all skin types. It should be mixed with a moisturizer and blended onto the skin to provide a healthy, sun-kissed appearance. When properly blended it softens the appearance of skin irregularities and evens out the skin tone. I found a new staple for my beauty kit in this product. I have been using it almost every day, mixed with a moisturizer of course. It really makes my skin look more even and it gives me a sheer layer of color. Since I am not a big fan of foundation, this allows me to skip foundation all together. It does not cover imperfections, but it makes my overall skin appearance better than it really is and it is so light that I feel like I am not wearing anything on my face at all. It reminds me of the Vapour Translucent Bronzers, except that Vapour’s bronzers are balmy sticks, while this is liquid.

The color is a warm bronze/caramel shade with no shimmer, glitter, nor anything similar. It does not look orange nor muddy, but golden-brown, which suits my skin tone very well. If applied properly, I think that the color would suit most skin tones beautifully from fair to deep, giving it a healthy color boost. Please notice that in the swatch above I applied the concentrate on the right side of my hand without mixing it with a moisturizer. Therefore the bronzing effect may be more subtle, depending on how much product you apply and how you dilute it with a moisturizer.

When looking at the ingredients, please consider that the Parfum contained in Dr.Hauschka’s products is not synthetic, but it is a blend of pure essential oils. I find the scent very light and pleasant, not offensive at all. This is the complete list of ingredients:

Water (Aqua), Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Alcohol, Anthyllis Vulneraria Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Bark/Leaf Extract, Lysolecithin, Beeswax (Cera Alba), Fragrance (Parfum), Citral*, Linalool*, Farnesol*, Benzyl Benzoate*, Limonene*, Citronellol*, Geraniol*, Benzyl Salicylate*, Coumarin*, Eugenol*, Benzyl Alcohol*, Cetearyl Alcohol, Algin, Silica, Arachis Hypogaea (Peanut) Oil, Chlorophyllin-Copper Complex (CI 75810), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)

The Dr.Hauschka Translucent Bronze Concentrate reatails for about $ 40 and is available at BeautySage (USA) and Selfridges (UK).

This is the perfect product to achieve a “sun-kissed” glow, aka looking like you have a real tan without spending a minute in the sun. It makes the skin look better and is perfect even for no-makeup days simply mixed with moisturizer. It is a great color for most skin tones. It is a concentrate, therefore you only need one pump or less for one application and once applied it does not transfer. Highly recommend. A must-have for bronze lovers and for everyone else during Summer.
