When I received my samples of the Lina Hanson Global Face Serum and Global Body Serum, I got a little bit carried away by the excitement around the Body Serum that was just launching around that time. If you already read my review, you know that I absolutely loved it: from the scent to the feel, it is pure luxury. The Face Serum definitely deserves as much love because it is not only a special treat for my skin, but also a very unique and useful part of my skincare collection.
The Lina Hanson Global Face Serum* contains seventeen precious, hand-blended oils, sourced from all-over the world and produced by local farmers (love!). The list include some of the most amazing beauty oils that have been used for centuries because of their protective and healing properties, such as: Marula, Baobab, Camellia Seed, Argan, Brazil Nut, Pumpkin Seed, Neroli, Palmarosa, and Ylang Ylang. With all these amazing ingredients, the serum provides a large amount of nutrients for the skin such as antioxidants, fatty acids, and several vitamins that help with repairing, rejuvenating, and protecting the skin.
If you remember my last skincare routine update, I usually opt for a face oil in the evening and a moisturizing cream in the morning, because I find that makeup does not hold up very well on my face when I wear a face oil. However, the Global face Serum is one of the very few oils that I can wear under my makeup. The thinner, silky-smooth texture is fast-absorbing and gives me just enough moisture and “glow” without creating a thick film on the skin. Basically, my makeup does not slide all over my face. Even better, if I do not wear makeup at all, I just apply a few drops of this serum and get a youthful, luminous sheen on my skin. At that point it seems as if I was wearing a beautiful subtle highlighter cream.
Finally, I cannot help but adore the scent of it. It has a sweet, warm, and exotic scent that my husband and I find really intoxicating. When I used my first drop I got instantly reminded of my trip to Egypt. It is that exotic!
The Global Face Serum is one of the best serums that I have tried (and you know I have tried many!). I will definitely grab a full size soon, unless my husband decides to buy it for me first (hint hint).
